This book is a joke. More specifically, it is a satire written from the perspective of a very judgmental house cat. A Cat’s Notes on Human Incompetence presents what appear to be a series of observations about human behavior made by a cat who lives among them and quietly judges everything they do. The book contains 16 chapters, each with a sarcastic, humorous title reflecting the point of view of a cat observing the strange and often questionable decisions of humans. The notes themselves, however, are preserved exactly as the author wrote them. Which means the entire book is written in the cat’s native language. Meow. Inside you’ll find 211 pages in a 6 × 9 inch hardcover format, filled with the cat’s “notes” along with images of judging cat expressions that perfectly capture the silent disappointment every cat seems to feel toward their human. If you enjoy absurd humor, sarcastic cats, and books that fully commit to a ridiculous idea, this one might be exactly your kind of nonsense. It also makes a perfect gift for: • someone who loves cats • someone who already has everything • that friend who always sends judging cat memes • Secret Santa or office gift exchanges • Christmas gifts • birthdays • stocking stuffers • a coworker who owns a cat and takes it very seriously • the friend who insists their cat is smarter than everyone else It’s also great as a conversation starter — perfect for breaking the ice and sparking plenty of laughter and discussions about cats and the endlessly funny situations between cats and humans. Or simply for yourself. After all, someone in your house is probably already taking notes. — Milo Whiskers

Milo P. Whiskers is named in honor of a real white cat who lives in São Paulo, Brazil.
The real Milo does not actually have a full name. He is simply Milo. For the book, Qlir Publishing gave him the author name Milo P. Whiskers as a playful tribute to him.
The name Milo came from a tea called camomila (chamomile). In Brazil, people often drink camomila tea when they want to feel calmer. Because Milo is male, his family adapted the name from Camomila to Camomilo, and then shortened it to "Milo."
At first, they chose that name because they thought he was a very calm cat. Only later did they realize he may have seemed calm because he had likely been hurt before being cared for. In truth, Milo is very playful.
Milo's exact birth year is not known, but his family believes he was likely born around 2024.
The real Milo is not judgmental at all. He is sweet, affectionate, playful, and very dramatic in the way only a beloved cat can be. He loves attention, follows the rhythm of the house closely, and makes sure everyone knows when he has missed them.
When his humans leave and come back home, Milo often greets them with many expressive meows, as if he has been waiting to report everything that happened in their absence.
Milo's favorite way to play is simple and perfect: a paper ball. He loves chasing it, batting it around, and turning an ordinary little object into his own private adventure.
He also loves spending time with his scratcher and cardboard box, where he can stretch, scratch, and enjoy one of his favorite little routines at home.
Most of all, Milo loves being close to people. He enjoys human company and rarely wants to be alone or isolated. Wherever someone is, Milo usually wants to be nearby. If someone is resting in bed, he wants to be there too. If someone is working, he wants to stay in the same room, quietly keeping company in his own sweet way.
He also has delicate skin and many allergies, which means he needs extra care. Sometimes even small things, like certain products or objects he touches or bites, can trigger allergic reactions, and he may need medicine to feel better.
I had the opportunity to meet Milo during my last trip to Brazil, in December 2025, and to spend a week with him. He is a beautiful cat, and seeing his sweet, dramatic, affectionate personality in real life made him even more memorable.
